Bring on the "Treaters"

I love Halloween! Our neighborhood always has a bunch of trick-or-treaters which makes me so happy. We decked Cole out in a homemade "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough" outfit. My sister and I were Chocolate Chip "Shooshies" (i.e. chocolate chip cookies) when we were younger so I thought Cole should follow in the tradition. I think he makes a wonderful ball of cookie dough, don't you? We had a great time handing out candy and hanging out with both sets of grandparents. Puddin' even made an appearance in his ghost costume (candy bag and all)!!
We hope you all had a wonderful Halloween.

Happy Halloween!!

Cole's 1st Halloween. His outfit says, "I want my mummy"

We're still here!!

Sorry, I've fallen off the blog wagon again. It's Cole's fault. He's just so dang cute - I can't do anything but snuggle him. My heart is starting to break just a little bit knowing that my Maternity Leave is almost up. I can't talk about that yet and I'm doing my best not to think about it so I will leave you with a few photos of my guys...

Jake

We had to take our cat (Jake) to the vet today because he has been throwing up a lot lately. He had to get an x-ray and they found that he had an intestinal obstruction! They took him into surgery this morning to remove it. Thankfully, once they were able to look at his intestines they found that the obstruction had made it to the colon so he will most likely be able to pass it on his own, without surgical assistance. They gave him some medicine to get things moving and an enema to try to loosen things up. Hopefully he will be able to get rid of it today so that he can come home tomorrow. Poor kitty!!

Perks of the job

Thanks to daddy's job, Cole and I got to see the U2 stage before the concert on Saturday. The stage was the biggest thing I have ever seen! It went from one side of Carter-Finley clear to the other side and was as tall as the second level of seats. Crazy big!
