26 Weeks!

Hello from the land of double digits!! We are now 98 days out from our official due date which my doctor likes to call, "the day I most certainly will not give birth" :)

This week has been a bit of a rollercoaster for me physically and emotionally. Crumb is busy growing and that is a wonderful thing but my ever-expanding belly is causing some back pain that has not been so fun. I've found some stretches to do and my wonderful husband gives me back rubs whenever I need them so I am doing much better. The crazy pregnancy hormones that you hear about definitely hit this week bringing with them random bouts of tears for no real reason. It's definitely an interesting experience to cry uncontrollably while your mind tries to figure out what's wrong. Ends up being kind of funny once the wave passes. We had a dr. appt yesterday and everything looked great. Crumb was really showing off for Dr. White - he even kicked him in the finger when Dr. White was trying to measure me. I heard his heartbeat again and it sounded great - about 149 BPM.

Here are the stats:
How far: 26 weeks
Weight gain: We are going to leave this blank this week. Let's just say Dr. White was not concerned at all and he still called me a "tiny little thing" which is why he is my favorite.
Baby weight: almost 2 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Oh yes, and my awesome neighbor just brought a huge bag full of maternity clothes to me!
Stretch Marks: Not on this cocoa-buttered belly
Sleep: Pretty good. I've finally mastered the pillow placement so now I'm only up for bathroom breaks.
Best moment this week: When Crumb kicked Wyatt so hard it made my dress move and made Wyatt's eyes bug out of his head!
Movement: Tons! He moves like crazy and you can definitely see it from the outside now. It's my very favorite thing. I wake up in the morning and he starts to wiggle and poke at me - we have a nice little morning moment every day. I love it! He has started hanging out on the right side of my belly and every now and then he will push a body part (I don't know which one) up right beside my belly button. It feels really funny from the inside and you can tell on the outside because one side is still squishy and then one side is really hard! I try to keep myself from poking it too hard in case it's his noggin! :)
Cravings: Orange Juice and ice cream w/ Reese's Magic Shell - not together but usually in that order. I chug the orange juice and then I have to eat the ice cream to calm the heartburn the oj gives me!
Breakdowns: Several this week... one for no reason, one over fabric swatches, one because of work, one because the nurse gave me a dirty look after I told her my weight, a follow up to the weight one when I got home because I was hungry, one because Wyatt got called out at 12:00 at night... ummm I think that might cover it.
Belly Button: I think it might pop any day now.
What I miss: There are thing I miss for sure but the reason for missing them is so much fun... I don't really miss them that bad.
Looking forward to: My birthday which is Sunday, finding out what Brandon and Jen are having, So You Think You Can Dance, our 28 week ultrasound...
Milestones: We're almost to the 3rd Trimester, Crumb's eyes are fully developed and he can hear and recognize our voices and react to sudden sounds.

And here are the money shots:

It's in the water...

We managed to sneak in one last cookout with our buddies David and Kristi and Brandon and Jen before Kristi pops. The girls had a great time comparing pregnancy stories and looking at nursery things while the boys enjoyed ice cold beer and spoke of nothing baby related for a while.
We can't wait to meet little Sydney Mitchell in a few weeks!! We should also find out on Friday if Crumb will have a baby boy or a baby girl Jenkins to play with come October. Good luck guys!!

25 weeks!

175 days down, 105 days to go (give or take). My how time is flying yet crawling at the same time.

Here are our Week 25 Stats:

How far: Well, 25 weeks... duh
Weight gain: Again, I don't really weigh at home but I'm guessing between 10-15 lbs
Baby weight: 1 1/2 lbs!!! WOW!
Maternity clothes: I still have a few non-maternity dresses and shirts that I can get away with but I don't think that's going to last much longer
Stretch marks: Still none - yay!
Sleep: Not too shabby. I am now a master of the late night bathroom breaks and I've just about mastered the art of pillow stacking. Wyatt is probably wishing he was still working the night shift though. :)
Best moment this week: Our weekend at Myrtle Beach. Wyatt and I had a wonderful anniversary vacation. Crumb enjoyed it too - he let us know with lots of wiggles and kicks.
Movement: Tons! He has really gotten this wiggle thing down. He had a dance party the other day while I was at work. Last night, he danced for Wyatt! What a wiggle worm.
Cravings: Ice Cream. I could eat an entire carton in one sitting.
Breakdowns: None this week - that I can remember...
Belly Button: Oh, it's definitely starting to poke out
What I miss: Right now, my bed! I could have used a few more hours this morning.
Looking forward to: Crumb's next dance party. I'm going to try to get it on video.

24 weeks!!

First and foremost, a very overdue picture... If you remember back to the post about my "Other Family" night with the Deibels I mentioned the quilt that Deede made for Crumb. Well, here it is! Isn't it beautiful? Crumb is going to love it!
Thanks again, Deede!!!

Ok, now for the updates!!

How far: 24 weeks!
Weight gain: I don't get on the scale at home so until my next appt we'll just say around 10lbs - it has started to move into my arms and cheeks though! Hello chipmonk!
Baby weight: He's gained 4 oz (or so says the weekly email) so he's a little bit over a pound. Yes, this still means that mom has only gained around 9lbs.
Maternity clothes: Oh yes. I just bought 3 new stretchy dresses this week and I love them!!
Stretch Marks: So far, so good! (Meaning I don't have any)
Sleep: It's actually been a little bit better this week.
Best moment this week: There were several - Wyatt and I celebrated out 2nd anniversary - Crumb went on his first (assisted) Easter Egg Hunt - I saw Crumb move from the outside.
Movement: As long as I am away from anyone who might want to feel him wiggle, he's a moving machine. :)
Cravings: Carbs
Breakdowns: So far, I'm breakdown free this week. (I think)
Belly Button: A little bit in - a little bit flat - a little bit out
What I miss: I've been pretty content this week.
Looking forward to: Wyatt is taking me on a surprise get away trip this afternoon for our anniversary. I know we are going to the beach but I don't know which one. He did tell me that the place we are staying has a heated lazy river... what could be better for a pregnant lady?? He's wonderful, I know!
Milestones: Well, yesterday was our "V-Day" (Viability Day) which means that at this point Crumb would have a chance of surviving if he came to play. Wyatt and I have already discussed this with him and while we gave him a high five for reaching (and passing) this point - we told him if he comes out to play now he will lose phone privileges. He said he'd wait - smart boy. :)

and now, the fun part...

If you are missing a basketball, let me know. I might have eaten it. :)

Happy Anniversary!!

Happy anniversary, happy anniversary, happy anniversary, HAAAAApppyyyyy Anniversary!! Happy, happy, happy.... you get the idea.
2 years ago today Wyatt and I were saying our vows and kicking up our heels. Who would have thought that this year we'd be expecting our first baby!! I know that 2 years ago we were the happiest people in the world and we felt so lucky to be where we were. Today, we are happier, more in love, and feel even luckier than we did that day. Who knew that was even possible.

Happy anniversary, Wy. I love you forever and a day.

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter Crumb baby!!
We had a wonderful Easter weekend full of family and fun. We spent Saturday at my parents house doing the Easter egg hunt thing and laughing more than I thought was humanly possible. Aunt Peedie and Chris came home so we got to celebrate Peedie's birthday as well. The Easter egg hunt was a huge success and Wyatt even got a little basket to collect things for Crumb. So cute!
We enjoyed a wonderful family brunch with Wyatt's family on Sunday. Crumb and I ate way more than we should have but we loved every minute. We didn't get to spend a lot of time visiting as Wyatt had to go into work Sunday night but we enjoyed the time we did have.
I spent some time Sunday night remembering and reflecting - I won't recap too much here but it was a year ago Sunday that my grandfather, Big Bill, passed away. Wyatt and I both said that we wish he could have known about Crumb... I'm pretty sure he does. Anyway, hugs to my dad, Uncle Joe, Aunt Patty, and anyone else who might need one right now.
Blue skies, tail winds, and happy landings Big Bill. i.o.

23 Weeks

Week 23, here we come!! Crumb is growing like a weed and therefore, so am I! Things are still just trucking along. I found this little pregnancy survey type thing so I'll take a shot at filling that out this week.
How far along?: 23 weeks today!
Total weight gain: 10 lbs - although it felt like 30 last night.
How much does baby weigh?: Just over 1 lb!! (So I guess that means I've only gained 9lbs! lol)
Maternity clothes?: Living in them. I've just reached the point where I really can't get away with any of my bigger "non-maternity" clothes. In other words, mama needs to go shopping!
Stretch marks?: None so far! Fingers crossed. I am the queen of cocoa butter - even though they say that doesn't really make a difference.
Sleep?: hmm, what's that?? Actually I haven't really had problems until these past few nights. I'm going to go with, "It's just a phase."
Best moment this week?: Watching Wyatt's face light up when he felt Crumb wiggling all over the place.
Movement?: It depends on the day but for the most part - tons of movement! He usually gets going around 10am (after our daily PB&J) and then again around 6pm during my after work chill.
Food cravings?: I haven't had any, "Wyatt, go to the store now!!" cravings as of yet. I am on a bit of a PB&J kick and my love for the regular favorites (mac n' cheese and mashed potatoes) has reached a new high.
Any breakdowns?: Hmm, yes that would be yesterday. I had a rough day at work and so I was in quite a mood last night. Wyatt did a great job of surfing that wave. I also had my first, "I look like a whale" moment last night as well. Hints why the pictures don't show faces! Oh the joys of out of control hormones. Wyatt is such a good sport.
Belly button - in or out?: It's a little of both at the moment. Wyatt was thrilled the other night when he discovered that he could get a penny to stay in the button unassisted. His description - it looks like the place where you put your quarter in the gumball machine. It sticks out at the top with a little dip at the bottom. He thinks it's hilarious and I think he's hilarious so all in all we are happy with the button status.
What I miss: Sleeping on my back/stomach, throwing on my every day jeans, and ice cold beer. It's all worth it though.
What I'm looking forward to: Being able to see Crumb move around!
Milestone: His movements are strong enough for other people to feel him now. I love it!!

Here are the money shots for week 23.
Love to all,

A movin' and a groovin'

Not a whole lot to report right now but we did have a very fun moment last night... Crumb has been kicking quite a bit these last few weeks, much to my enjoyment. Wyatt was able to feel him move around the 21st week although the kick was so soft he could barely tell if it was Crumb or not . Well yesterday at work, Crumb was moving around a lot. When Wyatt got home we sat on the couch with our hands on my belly and he got to feel Crumb again. He said it was still really faint and then all of a sudden, BAM!, Crumb kicked him like he meant it. Wyatt's eyes got as big as quarters!! Crumb continued his acrobatic display for another 20 minutes or so and I think it is safe to say that Wyatt has now high-fived this little guy!
